happy mems day!

today was so fun! i went to the aquarium with my coworkers (blog post to come) and got to pet a stingray, it's whatever...

Anyways I had a family night at my brothers house, we did foill dinners, it was super fun, i was kinda a lazy photographer so excuse the grainy-ness of these pictures, my brothers may have taken some of these, we can never be too sure.

in other news, i think i'm going to do a facebook fast this week. I was thinking about just how much i am plugged into my computer and sometimes i just need to force myself to take a break. breath, and enjoy reality.

Today was a wonderful Sunday, I had some very dear personal revelations in church and it feels good to be reminded that the Lord is on my side. after church I watched this, which is guaranteed to make my heart feel good. Its a speech given by Elder Busche (who happens to be my mothers former mission president)

it's friday and we know it.

 We took Brooke on an adventure of firsts. She had never had sushi, so we made sure to do that. hayley got the mango momma. it was the best sushi i have ever had in my life. thank you happy sumo. now i know how sumos get happy. We then took Brooke on her first thrifting adventure and she found an adorable lace skirt. win.

we then hit up the mall (luckily that wasn't a first for brooke) and i got some modest shorts, cause it's probably a good idea to have those around these parts.

 and of course we finished the day with some froyo.

idol

so this week i was nice and social. example: i watched the season finale of idol despite having not watched the show since 8th grade...Brooke (the blonde cutie below) and Ben (ginger) were rooting for different people, 

first we did our work duties with swagger 

(i don't know if any of y'all noticed how many times j.k. rowling 

uses the word swag, or swaggered, when talking about draco

 walking, but we're listing to harry potter at work and it kills me everytime. i love it.)

then we had some funzies

probably mostly, brownies and ice cream made it worth it

twas a good time. i like my coworkers, even if i have been dubbed the office hipster...

nicole and marshall // wedding day

what a fun couple! I had the privilege of doing Nicole and Marshall's Formals a few weeks ago (see here) and i got to join them on their wedding day. They got married in the Logan temple, and it poured. luckily they had a good attitude (nicole even said something along the lines of "I actually like the rain, it's kinda cool" ). Marshall is a recent convert to the LDS church, so most of his family couldn't attend the actual ceremony. They had a ring ceremony in Eden UT after their sealing and it was just so great. Afterwards they had a fun reception complete with s'mores!
